Dr. (Mrs.) Mercy. A. Bankole was born at Aramoko-Ekiti more than five decades ago. She attended University of Ilorin, Nigeria for her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She later proceeded to University of Ibadan, Nigeria for M.A degree and Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti for Ph.D degree in English Language with special interest in Phonetics and Phonology of English. She is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Languages and Linguistics, Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti.
She has many publications in reputable journals to her credit in her area of specialization.
Dr, (Mrs,) M. A. Bankole is a member of English Scholars, Association of Nigeria (ESAN) and many other professional and academic bodies. She is married with children.
