The Governing Council of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) hereby announces that the position of Vice-Chancellor will become vacant effective January 6, 2026. In accordance with the provisions of the extant regulations of the University, the Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and distinguished candidates with outstanding academic and administrative records, vision, proven leadership qualities and ability to drive the development agenda of the University.
The University
The University was established on October 16, 2020, following its upgrade from a College of Education to a full-fledged University. This milestone marked a significant transformation in its academic and institutional status. Shortly after, the University received its operational license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on November 6, 2020, granting it the authority to commence academic and administrative operations.
BOUESTI is a dynamic and an ascending institution committed to redefining higher education through a focus on academic excellence, technology-driven instruction, innovation-led research, and sustainable development.

The Position
The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Academic Officer and Chief Accounting Officer of the University. He/She is responsible to the Governing Council in providing strategic leadership, driving academic and administrative excellence, and ensuring financial sustainability that will position the University as a centre of excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation and community service.

The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only.
Salary and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Vice-Chancellor in all Nigerian Public Universities and as may be determined from time to time by the Government and the Governing Council of the University.
