This indicates that while these programmes have met some of the required standards, further improvements are needed to attain full accreditation.

The Vice-Chancellor of BOUESTI, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the accreditation exercise and commended the efforts of the Ekiti State Governnent, the Governing Council, members of staff and all stakeholders involved in ensuring that the University continues to meet the standards set by the NUC.
“This result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students, as well as the support of the University administration. We remain committed to improving our academic offerings and facilities to ensure that all our programmes meet and exceed the required standards,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

The NUC accreditation is conducted periodically to evaluate the quality of academic programmes in Nigerian universities. Full accreditation is granted to programmes that meet the NUC’s standards in areas such as curriculum, staffing, infrastructure and funding. Interim accreditation, on the other hand is awarded to programmes that meet some but not all of the standards, with a follow-up review scheduled for a later date.

The university authorities have promised to address the issues in the three programmes with interim accreditation, with the goal of securing full accreditation in the next round of assessments.

This development strengthens the University’s position as a leading institution of higher learning in Nigeria, further reinforcing its academic reputation both locally and internationally.
